Security scenario improved a lot in J&K: Sat

JAMMU, Dec 24: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) held a Janta Darbar at District BJP headquarters during his routine sittings and interacted with a large number of people to know about their grievances besides taking stock of remaining works, to be done in various areas. A large number of people hailing from various wards of Jammu West Assembly segment mainly from Talab Tillo and Janipur visited the Janta Darbar of former MLA and sought redressal of their grievances.
Deputations hailing from wards 12, 14, 32, 36, 37 and 40 led by Corporators Pramod Kapahi, Dinesh Gupta, Subash Sharma and Sunita Gupta met BJP leader and highlighted various issues. They further asked him to intervene in some matters at the earliest to avoid public distress. Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, District General Secretary Karan Sharma and several others were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat said that a fruitful discussion was held with the deputations and many things came up during interaction, where the locals stressed for taking up some utmost important works in the area besides completing the same within stipulated time frame. Sharma asked the officials of concerned departments to immediately prepare estimates and take up pending works in the Constituency for providing better infra to the inhabitants. Sharma also spoke to concerned engineers of Power and Jal Shakti Departments and asked them to provide uninterrupted supply of power and water in all wards of Jammu West. Praising PM Modi's and HM Amit Shah's steps for improvement of infra and security in UT, Sharma also said that J&K's security scenario has improved a lot and by strengthening the Police Stations, Police Posts and SIA (State Investigation Agency) in the UT will help in further improvement of security scenario in J&K which was absent during UPA's rule, he added.
