| GDC Bishnah digs compost pit in college campus | | |  JAMMU, Dec 24: As part of the Clean India Programme, on the 4th day of 7-day long Special Winter Camp, the NSS unit of GDC Bishnah in collaboration with the Municipal Committee Bishnah dug a new compost pit in the college campus and continued the cleaning of the waste from the channel of Ranbir Canal flowing through the Bishnah town. For solid waste management in the college campus, the volunteers completed the digging of the compost pit. Another team of the NSS volunteers cleaned the solid waste thrown in the channel of the Canal. Dr Anuradha Pandoh, Principal of the college applauded the practical approach of the NSS volunteers in creating the simple workable amenities on the college campus for solid waste management and in keeping the water bodies clean. |
