| GDC Vijaypur organizes poster making, slogan writing competitions | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
VIJAYPUR, Dec 24: In continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of " Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", NSS unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organized poster making and slogan writing competitions with the aim to make people aware of global warming and climate change and promoting efforts towards saving energy resources.NSS volunteers of the College participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and fervor; relishing the competition, vital information dissipated enriching ideas shared.
In poster making competition first position was secured by Kanchan Sharma of B. A Sem 3rd; second position was shared by Neeraj Sharma of BA Sem 3rd and third position was secured by Abhinash Singh of BA Sem 5th and in slogan writing competition Mokesha Devi, Manisha Sangotra and Shivam of BA/ B.Com Sem 1st bagged first, second and third positions respectively. Consolation prizes were given to Keshav Mehra and Simran Kour of B.Com Sem. 1st.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College.
She said that we all should pledge to use energy judiciously in everyday life, ensure zero wastage and spread awareness about the importance of energy conservation for a healthy environment and sustainable future. She further added that every person can save energy by eliminating unnecessary use of electrical instruments.
It is the easiest and effective way to save energy usage which plays a major role in National Energy Conservation campaign.
Therefore, for energy conservation we should use renewable energy resources instead of the non- renewable resources of energy.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO) and adjudicated by Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof. Anil Bhagat. E-certificates were awarded to all the winners. |
