GCW Udhampur organizes programmes in connection with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotasav’ | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Dec 24: Department of Music, Government College for Women Udhampur under the guidance of Prof Seema Sharma has organized different events under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotasav’ including a symposium on Covid Appropriate behaviour: Prevention and Precautions, cultural programs, a puppet show on Covid awareness and a patriotic Natak “Jang-e- Kashmir”. Principal of the college, Prof. Minu Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion while Ritu Anand Gandotra, a renowned writer and poetess was the guest of honour. As many as 10 students participated in the symposium and expressed their message orientated thoughts on Covid Appropriate Behaviour. They discussed various aspects of COVID-19 including the meaning, prevention and control measures. A patriotic Natak “Jang-e-Kashmir was presented by artists of Paltayar Nehru Youth Club Garhi, Udhampur. The Natak directed by Sudesh Sultanpuri portrayed the prevailing conditions of Kashmir. The crisp script, catchy phrases, songs and intelligent emphasis on speech left the audience spellbound. The performance of each artist was praiseworthy. Students of the college also presented a colourful cultural program on the occasion. The main attraction of the cultural event was traditional folk song and dances like Bhakh, geetru, Gojari Mahiya. Besides, a Puppet show on the theme Covid Appropriate Behaviour was also presented. |
