JAMMU, Dec 24: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India, organized a function with a national slogan “Clean Village Green Village” in collaboration with Rural Development Forum, Dansal in which various govt departments participated and delivered a detailed awareness lecture about various govt schemes. The program was held at village Korga/Dabi Jandrah in district Jammu. A large number of local people especially ST inhabitants including youth, women, children were sensitized for various public schemes. Around ten department heads were present who delivered one to one awareness lecture on multiple topics.
The function starts with welcoming the chief guest, Shamima Begum, DDC member Dansal, who cut the ribbon inaugurated the Ayush free medical counter run under supervision of Dr. Anita Kumari & staff there. Free Ayush medicine kits were distributed to beneficiaries.
SA Naaz, Regional Director, DTNBWED, Pritam Singh Sarpanch Panchayat Taan, Angrez Singh, Surtha and ex-Sarpanch Mohd Sadiq were guests of honour. Rampaul Dogra, social activist & senior journalist participated as special invitee.
DDC member Shamima Begum was also honoured by prominent persons of the area. In her address she assured the people that all possible help will be given to mitigate their sufferings. |
