NC leader Yashu Vardhan lambasts BJP government of increasing woes of common people | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 26: National Conference has lambasted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the centre for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people of hilly areas of district Rajouri. The allegation was leveled by senior National Conference leader and party's Zonal Secretary Pir Panjal zone and in-charge District Rajouri, Thakur Yashu Vardhan Singh while addressing a public meeting in Kalakote. Vardhan said that the miseries of common masses across Jammu & Kashmir have increased manifold during the ongoing BJP regime at the centre and the worst sufferers are the people living in far flung areas especially in hilly terrains. He said that the miseries of people in these areas have multiplied in absence of any popular representative government in this union territory. Vardhan accused the government of Jammu & Kashmir of having miserably failed to provide even the basic amenities to the people of hilly terrains, not to talk of other facilities. He while vociferously raising the issue of the PWD daily wagers said that it is really an irony that they have not been paid salaries for the last more than two years and they along with their families are struggling for their survival. Vardhan said the inefficiency of the government can be well gauged from the fact that the far flung areas including Udhon, Kothcharwal, Narla Bambal and Gaibazz are without electricity for the past three days and none in the administration seems to be least bothered thus leaving the people to fend for themselves. Not only this, there is no availability of kerosene oil for the last more than one year while the proper LPG supply continues to be a distant dream. |
