Bharatiya Yog Sansthan Jammu celebrates “Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas”

JAMMU, Dec 26: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Jammu celebrated “Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas” throughout country and abroad every year. This is one of the six important annual functions of the Sansthan. This event is conducted and managed exclusively by the women Sadhaks, Shikshaks and Adhikaris of the Sansthan.
Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Jammu celebrated “Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas in the sprawling lawns of the ashram at Gole Gujral Jammu. The programme was quite impressive though short, in view of the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. Social distancing and other Covid protocol were ensured.
Dr, Mohan Singh, Director (ISM) Ayush was the Chief Guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion he said that PM’s vision for Fit@India can be harnessed through Yoga. He appreciated that events like Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas are quite empowering for the women in the society.
Des Raj, National President of the Sansthan, Delhi delivered an informed talk on the topic of management of cancer related problems in women with yoga. He said that accumulation of morbid matter in the body is the root cause for cancer and other related health issues. The yogic remedy lies in Asans and Pranayam.
Satya Pal, President of the Sansthan welcomed the chief guest and introduced the Sansthan to the chief guest and the participants. He said that in J&K, Bharatiya Yog Sansthan is running 125 Yoga Sadhana Kendras in and around Jammu, Samba and Udhampur. Yoga at these centres is taught daily by expert volunteers (Shikshaks) of the Sansthan free of cost.
