Early Times Report REASI, Jan 9: Apni Party Vice President and former minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan urged LG administration to restore road connectivity, electricity and health care services in the upper reaches of Reasi and Ramban districts. In a statement to the press, Khan said that the heavy rains and snowfall in upper reaches has made the situation worse for the people living in remote and inaccessible areas of both the above said districts in the last three days. "We have received reports from upper reaches of Ramban and Reasi district i.e., Banihal, Gool, Ramban, Khari, Batote, Ramsoo, Gandri, Rajgarh area of Ramban district and tehsil Chassana, Mahore, Thuroo, Gulab Garh, Thakrakote, Pooni, Bhomag, Reasi, Arnas of Reasi district and remote places have been cut off from rest of the world due to heavy rains due to heavy rains and snowfall," he said. He said that the people living in these upper reaches should be provided immediate medical care and ration be airdropped with the help of choppers of Indian Air Force. "The medical teams should be dispatched in the above said areas and immediate relief compensation be issued by the respective administration in favour of the people whose structures have been damaged in the inclement weather conditions," he said. |
