Jasrotia hails PM's decision to mark Dec 26 as 'Veer Baal Diwas' | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Jan 9: Former Minister and BJP Spokesman Rajiv Jasrotia on Sunday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to mark December 26 every year as 'Veer Baal Diwas', saying that the courage portrayed by Sahibzades under oppression is unparalleled and people across the globe must know about their supreme sacrifice. Jasrotia maintained that the sacrifice made by Sahibzade Jorawar Singh and Sahibzade Fateh Singh (sons of Guru Gobind Singh) is supreme. On this day in 1705, they sacrificed their life in Punjab's Sirhind to protect dharma," he said. Their martyrdom day now will be celebrated as 'Veer Baal Diwas' will act as a "source of inspiration" for other children. Jasrotia further observed that India has always been a nation that stands for peace and humanity. Declaring Children's Day in the name of Chaar Sahibzaade will give the world a message that the nation recognizes this unique sacrifice and values its past, added Jasrotia. |
