BSF airlifts three patients from snowbound Tangdhar for treatment | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 9: Border Security Force (BSF) airlifted three patients who were in dire need of medical attention from snow-bound Tangdhar sector in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday, a spokesperson of the Force said on Sunday. He said on request of district administration Kupwara, BSF airlifted three civilian patients identified as Nasreen Fatima (50) a resident of Hazinar, Sobiya Begam (30) of Tangdhar and Rizwan Ahmad (10) of Gomal. "They were airlifted from the snow-bound Tangdhar Sector to district headquarters for medical attention amid the closure of the only road, which passes through Sadhna Top," the spokesperson said. Meanwhile, police on Sunday rescued a Specially abled person who was stuck during heavy snowfall on Saturday at Gurez area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district, the official said. An 18-year-old, deaf and dumb boy who went missing on Saturday during heavy snowfall in Gurez valley was rescued after a night long rescue operation amid heavy snowfall on Sunday. A video on micro blogger twitter went viral showing the boy being taken on the shoulders of a police personnel and offering dry fruits walking through the snow bound area of Gurez valley in Bandipora. |
