Tourism Deptt makes mockery of ‘Amusement Park’
Park finds place on signboard but nowhere in sight

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 18: The Tourism Department allegedly seems to have misled the people on the name of development which can be well understood from the fact that the ‘Amusement Park’ mentioned on signage at Bhatwati Nagar is nowhere in sight on ground.
It is very shocking and surprising for the local people as well as the tourists, who read Amusement Park just 700 meters from the signage point but in realty except ground there is nothing like Amusement Park.
“Government has been doing for its fake publicity through this signage. It would have been better to construct Amusement Park first and then mention it on signage but it is very surprising for us that there is o Amusement like thing in this area,” locals alleged further adding that except cafeteria building and few seating chairs on the sight, there is nothing. Moreover the development work has been lying abandoned for the last five months. The labourers engaged in this work have been staying in the cafeteria building, which was constructed nearly two years ago. They alleged that they have been without here and salary of five months is still pending with the department, which has not cleared yet.
“We don’t want to stay here as we are waiting for clearance of our pending wages but nothing has been done to clear our dues. We are without work for the last many months,” they alleged further adding that there is lot of work still pending and said that it doesn’t seem that work will start in near future. The locals alleged that government has been making people fool by showing Amusement Park only on signage, which they could not see for the last many years.
