Dozens join Shiv Sena in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 2: Shiv Sena today claimed to have received a big shot in arm as workers of dozens of local parties in Kashmir, joined the party. In a statement, a spokesman of the party joined Shiv Sena during a programme organized on the instructions of UT President Manish Sahni in Kupwara, Kashmir. The working President of Kashmir Unit Ghulam Rasool Lone and President Women's Wing Nasima Begum and district president Abdul Rasheed jointly welcomed the new members. Lone said that as per the instructions of the party state president, the expansion of the party is being carried out at the district and tehsil level across Kashmir province. He said that during the ongoing party expansion programme every effort is made to reach the people at the grass roots level and take stock of their problems and issues and get these resolved by vigorously taking up the same with the concerned authorities. He said that it is the result of such efforts and performance of the party workers and activists in reaching out to common people at the grass roots level that Shiv Sena's base in Kashmir is increasing rapidly. Lone said that Shiv Sena is focusing its struggle on seeking equal political rights for the people in every nook and corner across the Jammu & Kashmir. He instructed the members who joined the party today to raise their voice for the rights of the common people who have suffered at the hands of successive regimes for over seven decades. |
