| Rich tributes paid to Sher-e-Poonch Yashpal Sharma | | |  Early Times Report
NOWSHERA, Feb 2: Rich tributes were paid to ex-MLC Yashpal Sharma in a condolence meeting held at Nowshera.
Adv Rajinder Parshad Sharma, senior Congress leader described Yashpal Sharma as the real leader of masses known for his simplicity, honesty, humbleness who in his whole life worked for the welfare of people. His death is a great loss to Jammu and Kashmir and whole society. He termed him as a fearless voice and towering personality of the border belt of Rajouri-Poonch. Subhash Kapoor (President Beopar Mandal and Ex Chairman MC Nowshera) termed Yash Pal Sharma as a leader of poor and downtrodden who was respected by the people of all faiths, shades and ideologies. He served the people of Poonch irrespective of caste, creed and colour.
Jagdish Sawhney (President Sanatan Dharam Sabha) described Yashpal Sharma as one of the great political figure of pir panjal and whole of Jammu and Kashmir who was liked and admired by the people of different walks of life and ideologies because of qualities of leadership coupled with humility and humour apart from care and concern for the poor and downtrodden.
General Secretary Beopar Mandal Ravi Kant Gupta and Social Activist Sukhdev Sharma demanded that Poonch Sports Stadium should be renamed as Yashpal Sharma Stadium. This will be a Government's tribute to Sher-e-Poonch.
Those who paid their tributes including Sarpanch Suraj Parkash, Baldev Raj Coudhary, Shaktipal Singh, Dr Ashok Sharma, Subhash Tuli, Mohd Azam, and several others. |
