| GDC Kathua celebrates World Wetlands Day | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Feb 2: NSS units of GDC Kathua celebrated World Wetlands Day in virtual mode today. In this connection an online poster making competition was organized. The theme of the poster making Competition was "Importance of Wetlands and their protection".
NSS units of GDC Kathua celebrated this day under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. Volunteers prepared beautiful posters containing messages of appeal to the entire world to save Wetlands and their protection. More than twenty five volunteers participated in the competition. Posters of Khushi Jasrotia, Mohit Verma and Mehak Gupta were declared first, second and third in the competition. Posters by Nitish Pansotra, Sheetal Devi and Anamika Sharma were selected for consolation prizes. Other volunteers were acknowledged with participation certificate. Event was judged by Prof (Dr) Sumit Dubey, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Prof Prof Arti Devi, Assistant Professor Department of Dogri and Prof Isha Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi. Volunteers are also directed to upload and share their posters in their social groups and social accounts. The entire event was organized under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. |
