| Abandoned Chingas patwar khana glaring instance of official apathy | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 5: The Chingas patwar khana set up at Chatyar village in Dongi block 20-years ago is in ruins.
According to locals no officials were ever posted in this patwar khana. "After the building came into existence the patwari sat here for not more than one week. The building was abandoned by the officials. Today people use this building as a cowshed," locals said.
They said, "We want to ask the government why no official was posted and why was the public money wasted. To get any revenue document we have to visit the district headquarter."
Locals said, "We have raised the issue of this building being in ruins with the administration on many occasions but they have never paid any attention towards our pleas."
They said, "If Revenue department cannot handle this building then it should hand it over to the Education Department at least it can be repaired and used as a school. This building in ruins is the glaring instance of official apathy." |
