3 drug peddlers held, contraband seized | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Three drug peddlers were arrested, in separate raids, in Kasmir and contraband was seized from their possession, police said on Monday. As per police, a suspicious person identified as Umar Rashid Laway, resident of Shallabugh, was intercepted at Shallabugh and 3.7 kilograms of crushed cannabis was seized from him. In Awantipora, another alleged accused, identified as Mohd Ayoub Akhoon, resident of Tulbagh Pampore, was held and 5.7 grams of contraband was recovered from his possession. Meanwhile, in Handwara in north Kashmir police recovered 4kgs of cannabis from the shop of one Mohd Akbar Malik, resident of Guloora. Cases under relevant sections were registered and further investigation was underway, police added. |
