‘Won’t submit any memorandum, trust any leader’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 17: The youth who were not recruited even after scoring more than ninety per cent marks in the qualifying examination of BSF and CISF blocked the Tawi bridge here on Thursday. They were beaten by J&K policemen as their protest led to traffic coming to a grinding halt for more than thirty minutes. The protesting youth first reached the exhibition ground from where they came towards Dogra Chowk and then sat on Tawi bridge near Maharaja Hari Singh memorial in front of Mandir Masjid Point. “Now we will neither submit a memorandum to the government nor will we believe any leader. We appealed to BJP leaders in Jammu many times, but those leaders did not listen to us. We passed the recruitment exam with good marks. Where will the youth go if you do not get a job even after scoring so many marks?,” they said. Protesters threatened that they would continue the protests till justice is done with them. As the youth refused to relent, Police forcibly bundled them into their vehicles and detained them. |
