Pir Panjal, Feb 20 : The People’s Democratic Party (PDP)President Mehbooba Mufti on her second day of Pir Panjal tour today addressed a well attended meeting of Party workers at Surankote.
Addressing the gathering, Mehbooba urged people of Pir Panjal to wholeheartedly support PAGD candidates.
“It has become evident after the Delimitation Commission interim report, that they want to grab power by any means and send to assembly those candidates and parties who will put a stamp of approval on their illegal of move of Aug 5,” she said.
Exhorting people to support PAGD candidates against the brutal assault of BJP on the identity of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba said “Ours is a fight for protection of resources, culture and rich legacy of Jammu and Kashmir. Whether PAGD constituents fight alone or in alliance people should wholeheartedly support those candidates. We cannot leave any democratic space for BJP to trample upon.”
Mehbooba Mufti later paid a condolence visit at a residence of Rajouri constituency In-charge Anjum Mirja to mourn the sad demise of his brother-in-law Tanvir Mirza. |
