MUMBAI, Feb 22: The Rupee on Tuesday dropped 35 paise at 74.85 against the US Dollar in opening trade owing to rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
Surging 23 paise on Monday, the local unit slid due to firm Dollar against other world currencies amid negative opening in the stock market.
The Rupee unit registered days high and low at 74.79 and 74.89 respectively against the US Dollar, the dealer added. |
