Army arranges tuitions near LoC in JK | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 6: Indian Army arranged tuition classes for the children of twelve remote villages of Kupwara district near the Line of Control under “Operation Sadbhavana”, a defence spokesperson said on Sunday. As per spokesperson, In order to offset interruption in the studies due to snowfall and sub-zero temperatures, Army ensured the working minds are nurtured and organised ‘Winter Tuition Classes’ in Mandian, Kundian, Naga, Kuchiban, Banwali, Dogapatti, Attar and Sapanwali in Kupwara district. The aim of the classes was to maintain continuity while simultaneously enhancing the elementary knowledge base of the students. As many as 380 students were a part of the initiative where students were also given an insight into future prospects of schooling at APS Beas, Pehelgan, Udhampur. The tuition classes which culminated on Saturday, were held with the help of local teachers and collaborative support of the village population. Speaking about the project, a local teacher of a remote village, Sabir Khatana stated that winter tuition were an excellent initiative by the Indian Army which bridges the gap between children of remote Line of Control villages and children from hinterland with better connectivity. |
