Submission of employee performance report be confined to higher cadre officials only: Shiv Sena | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 13: Shiv Sena Jammu & Kashmir unit has strongly condemned the decision of the central government to cut interest rates on the provident fund of government employees. The Sena has demanded implementation of the UT government order to submission of employee performance report (EPM) for higher cadre officials only. Addressing a press conference, Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit President Manish Sahni said that the direction to the employees to submit details for monthly performance reports claimed by the UT administration has put the lower cadre employees especially the Class-IV employees under tremendous pressure. He said that for such employees it is a herculean task to submit their monthly activities online as majority of them are not well versant with the online handling of work. The Shiv Sena UT chief said that in view of this factual position, the government pressurizing them to submit details in prescribed time or else face the consequences amounts to great injustice and harassment to these employees. He said that in fact these employees are caught in a situation akin ‘between devil and deep sea’. Sahni urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to limit the submission of the details of functioning on the portal only to higher officials and granting exemption to the lower cadre employees. He said that the interest rate in all the savings schemes, including banks' savings, FDs, has been decreasing continuously in the last few years. The pension scheme for government employees has also been discontinued and now on the interest rate of PF of government employees also. |
