Jammu residents allege ‘truant’ in supply of ration by FCS&CA department | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 13: Residents of many villages in the Jammu division have accused the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department of playing truant and denying ration to the genuine ration holders while citing flimsy reasons for the same. A group of people here said that they were denied ration on the pretext that the finger print on the Point of Sale (POS) machine did not match with the saved finger print. They said that ration is not given to all the members of the family even though they are registered at the other platforms. These people said that ration is not given to those children who have not prepared the Aadhar card as yet. They said that since the head of the family provides the information to the department the people at helm are duty bound to provide ration to the all the members including children of that particular family. |
