JAMMU, Mar 19: Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, SSP (retired) delivered a comprehensive lecture on the topic “J&K Police, a saga of sacrifices” to the probationary DySsP, probationary SIs, trainees of upper class, intermediate class and lower class courses. Jamwal said that police have principal responsibility of maintaining law & order, peace, investigating offences, preventing crime and accessible to people in distress, victims of crime and also people in need of care and protection.
Jamwal was of firm belief that public may repose trust in police only when actions of police are transparent, unbiased and based on ethics. He cautioned the audience that while in uniform, do justice with your conscience, obey and execute lawful orders and never shy away from different postings, as multi-role shape up one’s personality. At the same time adversity is the test of your efficiency.
