| Amidst ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ claims, Admin fails to clear dues of female health workers | | |

Srinagar, Mar 19: Tall claims of the administration about “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” were punctured yet again on Saturday when scores of Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW) staged a protest here against the failure of the Health Department to release their pending salaries.
Talking to Early Times, female protesters said, “Our salary gets stopped for months together. This is not for the first time that we have taken to streets to seek the release of our pending wages. We have to do it every time as the authorities quite often forget that we are permanent employees and are dependent upon this salary.”
They said, “We worked as frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured that we perform our duties with full dedication. But in return we have been ignored by the government. We have families to feed.
When we don’t get our salaries on time, our family members cast aspersions, whether we are really permanent employees?” |
