Jammu, Mar 19: The New Education Policy dissolved the hard separation between curricular, co-curricular, academic, vocational, physical education and arts. A major thrust was given to make the new generation more creative, innovative and abreast with the global advancements and requirements in the workplace. In order to enlighten the parents with essential life and employability skills, an orientation programme was conducted by the school on 17 March 2022 for classes IX and XI for the academic session 2022-23. The main aim of this programme was to apprise the parents with the knowledge, significance and prospects of the various skill subjectsintroduced by CBSE for enhancing the employability, entrepreneurship and skill development of the children. The opening address was given by Hem Lata Vishen, Principal, APS Kaluchak. She highlighted the significance of gaining the desired skill set befitting the need of the global market and also deliberated upon the necessity to hone the basic skills of the children so as to make them stand apart from the crowd. Next, the faculty members, one by one, introduced the various skill subjects to the parents. They focused on the vision, significance, subject-specific skills and career options pertaining to Financial Markets Management, Tourism, AI, Mass Media Studies, Biotechnology, Fine Arts and Physical Activity Trainer. The parents lauded the efforts put in by the school management and staff members for conducting such an enlightening session. Pooja Sharma, Vice Principal, APS Kaluchak presented the vote of thanks and the session was culminated. |
