| Shiv Sena protest, demands return of statehood for J&K with reservation for local youths | | |

JAMMU, Mar 19: Shiv Sena Jammu & Kashmir unit has demanded restoration of statehood with special status which should ensure reservation in jobs and educational institutions for the local youth of J&K.
Led by UT President Manish Sahni, the leaders demonstrated vigorously at SIDCO Chowk in Bari Brahmana on the demand.
Sahni said in his address that a long gap of 28 months has passed since the statehood was snatched from Jammu and Kashmir.
In 2019, the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah had repeatedly promised to return the statehood to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in public forums and on the floor of the house, but the waiting period for democracy process and statehood is getting longer. |
