| J&K ICS pays rich tributes to martyrs on Shahidi Diwas | | |

JAMMU, Mar 23: Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society (ICS), New Delhi, SS Sodhi, along with all the members offered rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and all other valiant warriors who fought for their country on their 91st Death Anniversary today which is remembered as Shahidi Diwas. All the members also observed a silence of two minutes in their memory.
Shahidi Diwas or Martyr’s Day is observed every year to remember the sacrifice of brave freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru for the nation. On March 23rd in 1931, three of them were hanged to death by Britishers. March 23rd is being celebrated to honour and remember their sacrifice for the independence struggle of India.
Speaking on the occasion, SS Sodhi recalled the martyrdom of the three brave freedom fighters, especially Shaheed Bhagat Singh who was considered to be one of the most influential revolutionists of the Indian Independence Movement, whose famous quotes continue to inspire mankind till today.
