Talwara migrants rue apathy from admin; say they have been left at mercy of God | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 27: The people who are putting up as migrants at Talwara in Reasi district have accused the Jammu & Kashmir administration of treating them badly and said that they are being denied basic facilities. The inmates said that they have been left at the mercy of the God and as such nobody from the administration is visiting them to assess about the facilities. These people said that they should be given the facilities that are given to the migrants in different parts of the Jammu division. The inmates said that the roofs of the different quarters have been damaged following which the water seeps from the same. They said the other facilities are also missing at the place as a result of which the inmates are suffering like anything. They demanded intervention from the highest level so that the problems come to an end. It would be in place to mention here that these families have been forced to take refuge at Talwara following killing of 27 persons by militants on April 17, 1998. |
