| Samba Police rescues 8 bovines, seizes two vehicles | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Apr 2: District Police Samba successfully foiled attempts to smuggle bovines by rescuing 08 bovines in two separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a Police party of PS Ghagwal at Naka Tapyal, signalled to stop one Mahindra vehicle without Registration No. for checking. Instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver accelerated the speed but got successfully chased by alerted cops within a few metres away from Naka Point. After checking the vehicle, 5 bovine were found laden inside the said vehicle which were tied in an inhumane manner.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 48/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal. Similarly, a Police party of PS Ghagwal rescued 03 more bovines at Main Chowk, Ghagwal which were being transported illegally in a Scorpio vehicle bearing Regd. No PB12F/8638.
A case FIR No. 49/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started. |
