JAMMU, Apr 13: The colours of Baisakhi and piousness of Dr Ambedkar Jayanti were reflected in a special morning assembly conducted at Stephens International Public School, Jammu. The trustee of school, Kunal Saini was the chief guest on the occasion. The students dressed in traditional attire presented traditional dances, recitals, songs and Gatka performance to mesmerize the students and teachers present. The programme also showcased a scene from the discussion of Drafting Committee as a tribute to Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the chief architect of Indian Constitution. The programme also saw students from various classes discussing the importance of Baisakhi and the life of Dr. Ambedkar. The 1st edition of the e-newsletter for the school, Illuminaire Infolettre - ‘E Stalwart’, was also released on the occasion by the trustee, Kunal Saini. Speaking on the occasion, Kunal Saini threw light on the importance of the festival, while encouraging the students to dream big while inculcating the qualities of diligence and persistence which helped Dr. Ambedkar achieved his dreams. Vote of thanks was presented by the Principal, Rama Jamwal. The programme was organized in coordination with the Vice Principal Kaajal Bhasin and the Head Mistress Shweta Bakshi. |
