| Unique Public School celebrates Baisakhi | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 13: Unique Public Senior Secondary School celebrated Baisakhi, BR Ambedkar Jayanti and Good Friday in its premises today.
Students were attired in Punjabi outfits and performed mesmerizing Bhangra on Dhol students recited numerous poems related to Baisakhi and enlightened the audience about the history related to 13th April 1699 when 10th Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji laid foundation of “Khalsa Panth”.
Students of class 9th throw light on the works of BR Ambedkar. He is known as the father of the Indian Constitution as he drafted the constitution of India. He was a true social reformer. He worked for equality for all Indians. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna Award in April 1990.
Along with celebration of Baisakhi and BR Ambedkar Jayanti the toddlers of Pre-Primary wing lit candles and paid respect to Jesus Christ.
The Trustee of the school, Nirlep Kour showered blessings with sacred words on this pious occasion.
The chairman, Jasbir Singh gave greetings to all the students, teachers and whole society for best future of all.
At last a vote of thanks was extended by the Principal of the school, Ravinder Kour. |
