| Bovines smuggling attempts foiled; 33 bovines rescued; 5 smugglers arrested | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Apr 14: Drive against bovines smuggling in District Reasi continues, teams of District Police Reasi laid special nakas, arrested 5 bovine smugglers and rescued 33 bovines from their possession.
Team of Police Post Dhansal laid a surprise naka at Dansal Area, intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Ghulam Rubani S/O Noor Alam R/O Kanthan and rescued 15 bovines from his possession. In this regards a case FIR No . 48 /2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act stand registered at Police Station Arnas and accused Rubani got arrested on the spot.
Team of PP Thanol during surprise naka checking at Thanol area foiled bovines smuggling attempt and rescued 04 bovines from the possession of bovines smugglers namely Isaaq S/O Sai R/O Beaulian Pouni . In this regards a case FIR No. 49/2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1)(a) PCA ACT stands registered at Police Station Arnas and accused got arrested.
While foiling another incident of bovines smuggling, Police team of Police Post Dhansal intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Tofail Hussain S/O Javaid R/O Panasa and rescue 04 bovines from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No. 51 /2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1) (a) PCA ACT stands registered at Police Station Arnas and accused got arrested in the said case. In another incident, Police Party of Police Post Shajroo Mahore foiled bovine smuggling attempt and rescued ten bovines from the possession of bovine smugglers namely Amjad Ali S/O Mohd Rafiq and Asif Ali S/O Nazakat Ali both R/O Gajoure Tehsil Pouni District Reasi.
In this connection a Case FIR No. 24/2022 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at Police Station Mahore and Both the accused arrested.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta conveyed that Reasi Police is committed to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling which is prerequisite to establish peace and tranquility in the region. |
