JAMMU, Apr 14: Ambedkar Mela was organized by Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration Committee. The Mela is the largest function on Ambedkar Jayanti in the UT and was organized at Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu. A large number of people across Jammu & Kashmir participated in the Mela and paid obeisance to Babasaheb.
Renowned singers Gurpreet Singh Lalli and Gursaaz from Punjab enthralled the audience with their powerful performances. From Jammu, Sars Bharati, Sonu Heer Ji, Akash and Yogesh performed in the event. Stage management was done by Advocate Lina and Advocate Jagdeep Kour.
The audience peacefully raised slogan praising Babasaheb and the entire landscape was decorated with blue color to mark the event. The participants were wearing and holding blue flags with inscriptions of Jai Bhim. The event was entirely non-political in nature. Arrangements for water, snacks, fruits, lunch and other eatables were made by central committee. |
