| Safa Kadal residents demand compensation for houses damaged due to dredging | | |

SRINAGAR, Apr 18: Residents of Safa Kadal in downtown Srinagar have demanded compensation for the damages to their houses following dredging in the Sunar Khul stream after the 2014 devastating floods. The residents said that they were given assurances at the time of dredging that they would be compensated adding that not a single penny was paid to them following damages to their houses. The residents demanded intervention from LG Manoj Sinha in this regard and reiterated their demand for proper compensation. |
