Bovine smuggling bids foiled; 11 bovines rescued, 4 smugglers arrested | | | Early Times Report REASI, Apr 22: Drive against bovine smuggling in District Reasi continues, teams of District Police Reasi laid special nakas, arrested 4 bovine smugglers and rescued 11 bovines from their possession. Team of Police Post Bhambla laid a surprise naka at Bhambla Area, intercepted Three Bovine smuggler namely 1) Sunil Dutt S/O Dev Raj R/O Tareru Tehsil Taryath District Rajouri 2) Ashok Kumar S/O Mela Ram R/O Salangad Tehsil Choki Choura District Jammu 3) Kirpal Singh S/O Krishan Lal R/O Delari Tehsil Khawas District Rajouri and rescued two bovines from their possession. In this regard a case FIR No . 19/2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1)(a) PCA Act stand registered at Police Station Pouni and all three accused got arrested on the spot. Team of Police Post Shajroo during surprise naka checking at Shajroo area foiled bovines smuggling attempt and rescued 09 bovines from the possession of bovines smugglers namely Mohd. Ashraf S/O Makhna Caste Bakerwal R/O Maslote Tehsil Thuroo, District Reasi. In this regard a case FIR No. 29/2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1)(a) PCA ACT stands registered at Police Station Mahore and the accused got arrested. Further investigation in the cases was going on. SSP Reasi Amit Gupta conveyed that Reasi Police is committed to eradicate the menace of bovine smuggling and to curb this menace Reasi Police will leave no stone unturned. |
