CAB rules out changes in coaching staff | | | agencies KOLKATA, Apr 24: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Sunday ruled out any changes to its coaching staff, refuting reports in a section of the press and said under its senior head coach Arun Lal, the association was doing well in the top-level domestic tournaments. Reacting to the reports CAB secretary Snehashis Ganguly said that the report was untrue and false. "I have seen in news in some sections of the media that CAB is in the process of appointing new coaching staff in the coming season. I would like to state categorically here that this news is baseless. These rumours are unnecessary and harmful in the middle of a season when the senior Bengal team is playing good competitive cricket, " he maintained. Bengal reached the final of the Ranji Trophy in 2020 under Arun Lal's stewardship and this season the CAB entered into the quarterfinals, he added. "The team is playing well. The coaching staff is doing an excellent job." Ganguly maintained. "CAB is very happy with the current support system around the team and any news on the contrary is false and baseless," said Ganguly. |
