| Gardeners cum Chowkidars demand release of pending wages | | |

SRINAGAR, Apr 24: People who were appointed as gardeners cum chowkidars in different panchayats of Jammu & Kashmir today carried out a protest in support of demands and said that their wages have not been released over the past eight years.
The protesters said that they were appointed in 2002-03 with a monthly honorarium of Rs. 1,000. The same was increased to Rs. 4,500 in 2010 and the honorarium was paid upto 2014 adding that not a single penny has been paid to them after that. |
