| Weapon snatching bid foiled in Anantnag | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Apr 26: A weapon snatching bid was foiled by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
They said unknown persons believed to be militants threw chilly powder into the eyes of a CRPF man at Reshi Bazar area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district with an aim to snatch his rifle.
"However, the attackers were not able to snatch the rifle and the bid was foiled," a CRPF officer said.
The attackers fled from the spot.
Security forces have cordoned off the area to trace the persons who attempted to snatch the rifle. |
