Night temperature drops across Kashmir | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 26: Night temperature dipped in the valley on Tuesday after rain and hailstorm lashed parts of Kashmir amid a forecast of mainly dry weather over the next 24 hours till Wednesday. The MeT predicted scattered light rain and thunderstorms on Thursday. Parts of Kashmir Valley including Srinagar received rainfall resulting in the sudden drop in night temperature while at a few places in north Kashmir's Baramulla district hailstorms caused damage to orchards. Srinagar witnessed clear sky recording a low of 9 degrees Celsius against 12.2 on the previous night. The temperature is 0.3 degree below normal for this time of the year. The city also received 1.5mm of rainfall. The ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir received 2.8 mm of rain and recorded a low of 1.2 degrees Celsius against 4.4 degrees the previous night. Tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir saw a minimum of 2.8 degrees Celsius and also received a rainfall of 12.3mm. Qazigund recorded a low of 6.6 degree Celsius against 9.6 degree Celsius, while Kokernag 6.0 degree Celsius.
