UDHAMPUR, May 13: Senior Citizens' Club Udhampur (SCCU) paid tributes to the son of soil Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, popular Indian classical music instrument player, who breathed his last on May 10.
Sharma was credited with shifting the Santoor from a predominantly accompaniment and ensemble role in the Sufi music of Kashmir to a solo role in the Hindustani classical music tradition of North India. The club extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Santoor maestro. |
