Jammu, May 18: Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Govt. Degree College, Hiranagar, Dist. Kathua, Jammu (J&K) signs a Memorandum of Agreement with the Environment and Social Welfare Society, Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India. The goal is to foster collaboration, provide opportunity for global experience, and to facilitate advancement of knowledge on the basis of reciprocity, best effort, mutual benefit, and frequent interactions. Environment & Social Welfare Society (ESW Society), Khajuraho is a registered National Society in India devoted to Environment, Education, Art, Science and Technology. The Society is managed by fellows of learned societies, authors, and others eminent in science, literature and art. It holds periodical meetings for lectures, workshops and conferences and for the reading of original and interesting papers, for the promotion of new works, discoveries and inventions, and for the diffusion of useful knowledge; it also publishes a journal of its transactions. The ESW Society is affiliated to Nehru Yuva Kendrya Sansthan, Yuva Kalyan avam Khel Mantralaya, Government of India. It is also recognized by Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad (Planning Department), Chhatrapur, Government of Madhya Pradesh, India and is having NGO-Partnership System, Portal (NGO-DARPAN), NITI Aayog, (National Institution for Transforming India), Govt. of India. Principal of the College, Dr. Pragya Khanna stated that GLDM, Govt. Degree College, Hiranagar and ESW, Khajuraho have mutually agreed to exchange information on research and educational programmes; to exchange information on teaching, learning material and other literature relevant to their educational and research programmes; to jointly organize short-term continuing education programmes on topics of mutual interest and to invite each other’s faculty and members to participate therein; to jointly organize seminars, conferences, or workshops on topics of mutual interest and to invite each other’s faculty and members to participate therein and to jointly propose and engage in research or training programmes sponsored by funding agencies, and to invite each other’s faculty and members to participate therein. The Principal further stated that the College aims to provide every opportunity to its students to collaboratively work with other institutions of excellence for resolving their real life challenges and to steer them to faster growth. |
