Block Diwas held at Zero Line Village; DC listens to Public Grievances | ‘Saturation of Government schemes for Villagers utmost priority’ | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, May 18: Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta today held weekly block Diwas meeting here at zero line Border village Khamore of tehsil Ramgarh and listened to the Public Grievances. Block Development Council Chairman Ramgarh Darshan Singh, Sarpanches, Panches and a large number of locals attended the block Divas and presented a memorandum on various issues faced by the area. The programme also witnessed a number of individuals and deputations including PRI members projecting demands and apprising DC Samba about the problems of their respective areas. The people submitted a memorandum of demands highlighting issues and demanding better road connectivity, drinking water supply in uncovered areas and provision of uninterrupted power supply. The DC gave a patient hearing to the demands of the people and passed on spot instructions to the concerned departments for time bound resolution of all the issues. She stressed upon the officers to prioritise the grievances and redress them in a time bound manner. The Deputy Commissioner directed district officers to saturate government sponsored schemes in the border area and ensure that no eligible applicants be left out. The block divas was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Sharma, Executive Engineers PHE(JAL Shakti), PDD, PWD, Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar BDO and other officers were also present. |
