Weekly Block Diwas: DDC listens to public grievances at Block Sewna

UDHAMPUR, May 25: To address the grievances of the public, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna, along with a team of District officers, conducted a public outreach cum grievances redress camp at Block Sewna of District Udhampur.
BDC Chairman Sewna, Subash Chander; DDC Councillor Narsoo, Subash Chander; Sarpanches, Panches and local people of adjoining panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them.
They demanded construction of Sewna -Satyalta road under PMGSY, Up gradation of local Government Middle school, meeting shortage of staff in Educational institutions, provision of matador service to the area, Appointment of Math teacher in GHSS Sewna, Blacktopping of the link roads, maintenance of Samroli-Sewna road, construction of GHSS boundary wall, Establishment of Veterinary centre at Ossu, posting of Doctor in NTPHC, provision of Ambulance service, Bringing Dhar Gaddia and Yugdhar in the tourism map, Toilet facility at Yug Dhar Mela venue, KV School, Construction of community hall at Yug Dhar, Opening of bank branch etc.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to the demands and problems of the people and directed the concerned officers to take necessary action under norms for early redressal of the same. She urged the officers to visit people's doorsteps and provide them with all the basic facilities.
The concerned officers were directed to resolve the genuine demands on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues to these to the higher authorities for consideration.
En-route, the DDC also visited Government Higher Secondary School Sewna and inspected the ongoing works of Art craft and Library room under SMAGRA.
