| Traffic cop dies, family members injured in road accident | | |

Jammu, May 29: A traffic cop was killed while five of his family members suffered injuries when their car met with an accident and fell into the river in Mandi area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said the traffic constable identified as Abdul Bashir, resident of Mandi, was on his way Sunday morning from Poonch towards Mandi along with family in personal vehicles. He was on way to resume his duty but when reached near Kalai, the car skidded off from the road and fell into river," police said ,adding that he got injured along with family and was rushed to the District Hospital but the cop succumbed.
"The family members also suffered injuries and are under treatment at the hospital," said police. |
