Body fished out from river Jhelum, truck conductor found dead | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 29: Body of an middle aged man was fished out from the river Jhelum while a truck conductor was found dead inside his vehicle in Srinagar on Sunday. Sources said the body of a middle aged man, name (withheld) a resident of Natipora, was found floating in river Jhelum near Malik Sahib Safakadal in down town Srinagar. The body was fished out and shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital for legal medical formalities. The man had allegedly committed suicide after jumping into river Jhelum from Budshah bridge, Srinagar on May 24 during the early hours. Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Sandeep Singh, truck conductor, a resident of Jammu was found unconscious inside the vehicle in Khonkan Dalgate area of Srinagar. He was rushed to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have registered a case in this matter and initiated proceedings. |
