Medical Employees Federation calls for strike on June 6 in support of demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 29: Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Jammu, organized a press conference to highlight the burning and long pending demands of the health employees. The main demands of health employees projected are Departmental Promotion Committee (promotions) of all categories in the health department pending from the last 4 yrs. It was said that many health employees have retired without getting the benefits of promotion & several posts are lying vacant in the health department. Service subordinate recruitment rules SRO-20 file was kept pending in the office of Secretary-General Administrative Department Civil Secretariat, Jammu for the last four months for the final approval. It was said that administrative department has failed to frame rules of promotion and leaving them with no choice other than to go to full day strike on 6-6-2022. The UT government has also failed to resolve the salary problems of Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head -2211 Family Welfare. The wages of FMPHWs have been pending for the last five months. It was said that registration of all the leftover government under new central pharmacy Act 1948 section 32-C should be done. Restoration of old pension scheme for all UT employees on the analogy of neighbouring states like Rajasthan should be carried out. The Federation has appealed Manoj K Dwivedi, Secretary Health & Medical Education department to fulfil the demands of health employees immediately. |
