United XI Udhampur beats Kathua Kings by two wickets in White Knight Cricket Premier League

JAMMU, June 5: White Knight Cricket Premier League 2022 is organised by Indian Army as part of 'Fit India Campaign' under aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Today on day 4th of the league the match was played between United XI Udhampur and Kathua Kings. Atul Sudan Youth leader and Social Activist was the Chief Guest during the match. The Army is organising the tournament with the aim of providing the local talent a platform to showcase and harness their skills in the field of Cricket.
Kathua Kings won the toss and scored 118/9 in 20 overs in reply of which Udhampur XI managed to chase 119 loosing 8 wickets. Abhinav Khajuria who got 2 wickets spending only 11 runs in 4 overs was a judged man of the match.
Atul Sudan who was the Chief Guest of the occasion while addressing the media persons appreciated the role of the Indian Army for organising such an impressive cricket league. He said such a grand event is providing a mega chance for budding cricketers to show their talent. He encouraged youth to make games and sports a regular part of their daily life. He said that sports activities have a significant impact on the social and mental development of youth adding that games inculcate leadership qualities and imbibe the spirit of discipline.
