Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum dismayed over transfers of Masters
6/12/2022 10:44:20 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 12: An emergency virtual meeting under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum was held here in which all the central executive members were presented.
The main concern of the meeting was to discuss and analyse the contents of the notice regarding ATD-2022 of Masters issued on 10-6-2022 by the Principal Secretary School Education B K Singh. The notice has caused more confusion rather than providing relief to the aggrieved Masters. This notice does not clarify who have assisted NIC to provide the data required for affecting transfers whether at the level of Directorates or SED Civil Secretariat.
It is pertinent to mention that the automaton process used by the NIC does not perhaps entertain the transfer request of the masters who have completed the required tenure of stay and those whose request for transfer had been accepted don't figure in the transfer list. Some masters are posted against the post/ vacancies of teachers which is a sheer violation of the transfer policy.
Khajuria demanded for clarification that whether this automated portal developed by NIC for transfers stopped at Zero Km for the influential and blue eyed and within municipal limits and does not adopted humanitarian approach for those masters who are serving in rural areas for many years to be posted/transfer in urban areas.
He also wanted clear cut institutions from the SED for the Masters who are going to retire within one or two years that whether they may be posted at their home for the settlement of their pension cases or not.
The Forum has decided unanimously to hold district level demonstrations in the first phase at Jammu and Srinagar on 16-6-2022 at 10.30 am at Press Club Jammu and Press Colony Srinagar. These demonstrations will be led by District Presidents of both Jammu and Srinagar. The struggle will continue till the final conclusion.
