| Lashkar terrorist killed in Srinagar encounter | | |

Srinagar, June 12: A Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militant was killed in a chance encounter that erupted between a militant and Police in Kreebal Palpora Sangam area of Srinagar Sunday evening.
A chance encounter started at Kreesbal Palpora Sangam area of Srinagar with terrorists and a small team of Srinagar police during which a LeT militant was killed, a police tweet said.
The slain militant has been identified as Adil Parray of Ganderbal.
Police said the slain militant was involved in the killing of two Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel Ghulam Hassan Dar in Sangam and Saifulla Qadri in Anchar Soura besides injuring a 9-year-old girl.

Earlier, security forces in a joint operation gunned down three LeT militants during an overnight gun battle in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, Police said. |
