| J&K police recover abducted girl, nabs one | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have recovered a kidnapped girl within hours of her abduction and arrested the accused in Nowgam.
Police station Nowgam received a complaint from one (name withheld) resident of Rakhi Shilwat stating that his daughter (Name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Aadil Ahmad Mir a resident of Rakhi Shilwat Bandipora in north Kashmir.
A case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police station Nowgam and investigations started, police said.
They said after strenuous efforts of Nowgam Police the accused kidnapper alongwith the girl was arrested within 12 hours.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents. Further investigation into the matter is in progress. |
